The latest pages in my art journal have revolved around creating colour stories and using colours that you might not normally choose to work together. By creating a colour grid and then choosing to work with a row of colours you open up the possibility for new and exciting colour combinations.
So this first picture was created using the colours in the last row (so row number 7) and row number 5. I was interested in have a continuous picture under and changing the colours from one page to another.
I think if I was to do it over I would change the background colour more dramatically to show the difference in the colours better. The picture below I made the decision to dramatically change the background colour and you get a better sense of the fact that I used entirely different colours.
I can’t wait to show you the whole journal all together. I am really enjoying creating it. I think I might have to create a video so that you can see how the journal opens and folds to reveal itself. Very fun.
