I got distracted by several things in the last couple of days. We had a 2 day garage sale that sucked all my time into oblivion and then…well…I have no excuses. I took a break and read “The Girl who Played with Fire” and then I started “The Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest”
And I forgot to post Part 2. Luckily I remembered today and will get back on track!
So this journal that I am posting is really in its infancy stages. I only started working in it the other day so you don’t get to see any finished pages today. What you will get to see is a journal type book rather than a sketchook. I had this one using lots of random papers, scrapbook papers and junk paper. I don’t plan on doing specific drawing or painting in this book so i could play a little more with my paper choices.
i also used an old book and cut out the spine and exposed the binding. This was actually the first book that i bound so I didn’t have the proper tools such as waxed linen thread and a ribbon that I wanted to use. In later journals that I have made I used much prettier ribbons.
These are in not particular order. Since I have not done any work in the journal it doesn’t really matter how it is presented.
I love the cougar face. Just love it!
I also LOVE this doggie paper. I had to really pay attention to putting the book together so that my dog paper didn’t end up upside- down!
Well off to finish reading The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets Nest…I’ve probably read 10 books this summer already! I love my KOBO!
Have a great day!
